This photo was taken by S.I.G.N. investigator lynne gulick at one our hotspots at this cemetery,myself and beverly leavell had taken well over 60 pictures when we were there a week ago and we did not get any interesting photographs..lynne had captured this interesting mist photograph that starts from the treeline to the right and wraps around the underbrush..do i believe it is paranormal yes...i have captured several photographs similar to this one when we investigated it a year ago..could this be a guardian letting us know this grave or site is protected yes..could this be a spirit or apparition forming yes...so yes i do believe this is paranormal

The first picture is a comparason shot just to show it was a clear and sunny day.

While we are taking our annual break for the holidays our team is still comitted to investigating the paranormal,we are revamping our group and in the new year we are going to set new goals for S.I.G.N. we are going to focus on doing residential investigations and getting back to the heart of what it means to be paranormal investigators.. and that is solving mysteries and uncovering the truth and being investigators again..sure weve been to waverly hills and hannah house and countless other bigtime hyped haunted places...but where the heart lies and that is...helping people understand the paranormal in a positive and educational manner...i think the ghost tv shows have gotten us all derailed from where the heart of being a real paranormal investigator lies.

Myself Beverly leavell and Lynne Gulick visited one of our favorite paranormal hotspots in indiana..one of the very strange things that we noticed that in the old section of the cemetery most of the headstones were free of any leaves..no signs of raking or any other indication that someone was taking care of this older section...one of our friends who had introduced us to this cemetery brian miller said this old section of the cemetery had at least 5 guardians in it...perhaps they were responsable for this??? maybe letting us know that this place is important and that we should remember and honor our dead.

Of all the photos we took at the austin cemetery these 2 shots back to back are the only ones i took that look out of the ordinary..i have taken similar pictures last year when we first came here and with almost the same exact results..this time i was using a newer smaller canon camera than my rebel xsi..is this possibly bordering on being paranormal yes...could this be something explainable with photography yes...please post your comments as i would want some opinions.

Scientific Explanations And Theories Of Shadow People

As with most supernatural phenomena there is usually a proposed logical, scientifically valid explanation for those who claim to have experienced some form of paranormal phenomenon. Usually these scientific explanations are neither geared to vilify eyewitnesses, nor do they require the violation of generally accepted scientific principles. However, for some die-hard believers who know what they saw these explanations sometimes tend to offend mostly because these articles on average tend to be written in a condescending tone. Yet, even though some of these explanations might offend them it doesn’t discredit the probability that in most of the cases these theories might have been a factor.

Pareidolia

In most instances, witnesses report seeing shadow people in the peripheral areas of their vision. This area of vision is linked to the areas of the brain that recognizes patterns, however, it provides less detail to the brain than macular (center-forward) vision. This can lead to a condition known as pareidolia in which the brain incorrectly interprets random patterns of light-shadow or texture as being familiar patterns such as faces and human forms. The same condition can also be observed in macular vision in low light conditions or when viewing a complex but random image. A common example, would be perceiving a shadow thrown by an item of furniture in a darkened room as being a person

Hypnogogla

Hypnogogla which is also known as waking-sleep is a documented physiological condition in which a person is part way between sleeping and waking. It is during Hypnogogla that a person can experience both being conscious of their surrounding while also being in a dream-like state where they can perceive images from their subconscious. People experiencing waking sleep commonly report the sensation of lights or shadows moving around them, as well as other visual hallucinations. A feeling of dread is also a sensation that occurs when experiencing waking-sleep. Hypnogogla is also known as ‘the faces in the dark phenomenon’ because those who experience the state commonly report seeing faces while experiencing waking-sleep. Similar hypothesis have been put forward linking the condition to a number of other apparent paranormal experiences including alien abduction and paranormal nocturnal visitations.

Chemical Agents

The use of narcotics and psychotropic agents including methamphetamine, cocaine, and LSD can produce shadow human shaped hallucinations. Dopaminergic drugs such as pramlpexole can sometimes cause these hallucinations. Common over-the-counter medication can also have a similar effect if taken in sufficient quantity.

Electromagnetic fields

It has also been proven recently that areas with erratic or powerful electromagnetic fields can interfere with the electrical impulses or firing synapses of the human mind, thus influencing people subjected to such environments over time to believe that they are hearing or seeing ghosts, aliens, or perhaps shadow beings. Such environments include old buildings with substandard wiring, power plants, and areas with naturally occurring strong magnetic fields.

Neurological Conditions

Certain neurological conditions, such as Photosensitive Epilepsy, and complex partial Seizures, have also been shown to cause sufferers to see shadow people. Photosensitive epilepsy is a form of epilepsy in which seizures are triggered by visual stimuli that form patterns in time or space, such as flashing lights, bold, regular patterns, or regular moving patterns. While Complex partial seizures are epileptic seizures that is limited to one cerebral hemisphere and causes impairment of awareness or responsiveness.

In conclusion, all of these theories that have been put forward by scientists are plausible as long as those factors that brought on the effect where present at the time the witness claimed to have seen the shadow person. Yet, here lies the heart of the problem between the believer and the skeptic one side says I know what I saw and none of this applies. While the other side hasn’t done enough out of the lab experiments in the home to verify their claims. Yet, it should be also noted that one aspect of alleged eyewitness accounts of shadow people that remains difficult to explain in objective scientific terms is the similarity of the shadow beings seen in these alleged accounts since children as young as four years old have seen them. Could it be a cultural throw back? that is making people around the globe to see the same thing? It is probable since there are many similarities between shadow people reports and the grim reaper that are shared in the subconscious of all people. Just as people all over the world report dreams of flying and failing.

My good friend jason montgomery had a few pictures.the first picture at the bottom shows what looks to be in the back of the cemetery a outline of a humanoid shape...the bad thing is they never went back to determine if this was truly something paranormal or not..i think it is!

The next 2 pictures were taken at rush creek cemetery at night if you look closely at the american flag that is stuck in the ground and then go up above it..it looks like some kind of black anomaly that is vaguely humanoid shaped.

Jason it is a honor to finally share these photos with other paranormal investigators.

Although we did not capture any evps at all myself and lynne gulick did have a few personal experiences..myself and lynne gulick felt light headed and dizzy in the parlor,after we left the area we were fine..i was shoved hard by something unseen in the doctors parlor which beverly leavell witness it first hand as she was with me when we were in the room..the exact same room lynne captured the black anomalous mass.also kevin blakely and lynne gulick were sitting at the dining room table and observed the chandelier ornaments moving on there own as as they were moving the ones that were higher started moving and twirling...at this particular time there was no one upstairs that would have made any vibration at all.

While kevin lynne and beverly were upstairs taking pictures and conducting evp sessions i was taking pictures with my back to this door..while i was taking pictures all of a sudden i saw the light from the outside shine in as i turned i saw the door open fully and then begin to close on its own...by the time i collected my wits i snapped these 2 pictures of the door closing...there were no winds strong enough to push this door open the way it did...the other personal experience i had was when we were inside this house and i heard kevin ask me if i was going upstairs and i said no...and kevin is over by the stairs the voice actually came from behind me.i asked kevin if he asked me if i was going upstairs and he said no...lynne and myself had another personal experience by the barn we heard a audable sigh/growl

Conclusion and evidence

Evps captured :none

Anomalous photographs taken :none

Milligauss Fluctuations :normal

During our investigation the solar x rays were active and we were in a M CLASS FLARE.

Although we did not capture any evps or photographic evidence me and lynne did have personal experiences..we would love to come back to investigate here again.

Bellair Cemetery - Unexplained Mist

Todd bates was very reluctant to enter this cemetery but we finally made it inside...kevin blakely said it felt like someone was touching his hair and also felt spiderwebs over his arms....this is a clear field with no trees around for a while as well...afterwards i started getting the feeling of spiderwebs on my hands and arm...the more and more we stayed in the cemetery the more everyone got the feeling of overwhelming sadness...this unexplained mist was captured when i snapped a picture of lynn as she was talking to the spirits. the first picture below is the original and the one above it has been edited with picasa fill light to show the mist in more details...looks like they must have liked lynne.

Once we had sat down we noticed down the hill here before you cross over into the greener grass area we had noticed what looked to be some kind of energy coming up through the ground.somewhat resembling heat coming off of asphalt...but this was dried up dead grass...the bad thing we did not capture this in my picture...so i got out my other camcorder and shot a 2 minute video segment which does show this unexplained energy moving up from the ground.

Myself and kevin blakely will be going over photographic evidence this weekend at his place,as we will be going over raw data photos from a previous cemetery we went to.we are hoping to get these published in a higher resolution as we are going to be using state of the art software to accomplish this..once this is complete these photos will be able to be displayed in a much crisper and higher resoloution than what we had previously posted...stay tuned!

For those of you who do not have a high end canon eos rebel digital camera like mine and are wondering about some of my photographs taken in cemeterys...let me share something with you..i cannot shake or move this camera and take a picture at the same time...because the chip in my high end camera has built in image stabilization...that means that i cannot more or swing the camera around and try and take a picture at the same time...the camera will not let me..it has a built in feature that will not allow this to happen...with lesser quality digital cameras on the market yes you can move the camera and take pictures...most of these low quality digital cameras lack such features..i hope this puts a end to some posts here speculating on what kind of camera i am using.

We had our trap camera setup in several locations saturday night and we did not capture nothing interesting..this is the only picture taken from our infrared trap camera that shows what looks to be mist by the tree and mist shooting downwards to the left by the camera.(the specs in the background are bugs which were in alot of pictures) and yes the time and date are off as i did not get a chance last night to correct this.

Lynne gulick had a personal experience when she entered the house saying that the floor felt like it was moving..saying it was kind of like getting dizzy then it went away real quick...perhaps she encountered a portal which some people can become sensitive too and can cause nausea disorientation and headaches.

Property owners Claims have been seeing shadow people out of the corner of there eye and being touched.members of the family have also heard the door in the basement opening and when they go down to see who has came in the door is locked and shut tight from the inside and there is no way that no one could have gotten in from the outside.
